General information

The Finnish ontology of plants offers a comprehensive collection of Finnish names and their scientific counterparts. Ontology includes species denominations from all over the world, as well as a wide range of horticultural and crop names. The time-changing nature of the biological nomenclature has been taken into account in Kassu’s data model so that the chain of changes in the names can be traced.
