General information

The coswot ontology was built during the Constrained Semantic Web of Things project, which aims to enable electronic devices with limited capabilities to manipulate and exchange data unambiguously. The coswot ontology was developed using the ACIMOV methodology. It harmonizes three reference ontologies from the world of the Internet of Things: W3C&OGC Semantic Sensor Network Ontology (SOSA/SSN), W3C Thing Description ontology (TD), and ETSI Smart Applications REFerence ontology (SAREF). The coswot ontology is modular, consisting of a set of core modules, and extensions for specific application domains. The CoSWoT project was funded by the French National Research Agency under reference ANR-19-CE23-0012., The CoSWoT Core ontology groups all the entities and axioms of the CoSWoT Core modules in one ontology.
