Definitions	A contig is a contiguous DNA sequence that has been assembled from shorter overlapping DNA segments. "Contig" is a specialization of a "Collection" and should be used to aggregate features, but not for indicating that a "Landmark" is representing a contig. It is encouraged that the latter is annotated by a term of the Sequence Ontology. Encodes for "sequencing-scope" in GVF and the "contig" information field in VCF.
