The Finnish ontology of plants offers a comprehensive collection of Finnish names and their scientific counterparts. Ontology includes species denominations from all over the world, as well as a wide range of horticultural and crop names.
The time-changing nature of the biological nomenclature has been taken into account in Kassu’s data model so that the chain of changes in the names can be traced. Searches will display the latest valid name.
