General information
GoMapMan is an open web-accessible resource for gene functional annotations in the plant sciences. It was developed to facilitate the improvement, consolidation and visualization of gene annotations across several plant species. GoMapMan ontology is based on MapMan ontology. GoMapMan protein ontology (GMM_p) is the hierarchical organisation of plant genes where each leaf can contain several genes and on the other hand, one gene can be present in different leaves (BINs). The same ontology is used to annotate small RNAs based on their target gene(s).
