FTIR spectral data will be collected using a ZnSe 45° HATR (Horizontal Attenuated Total Reflectance) crystal and an FTIR-6200 JASCO spectrometer equipped with a standard sample chamber, a triglycine sulphate (TGS) detector and a Ge/KBr beamsplitter. The crystal wiil be used has a refractive index of 2.4 and a depth of penetration of 2.0 μm at 1000 cmˉ¹. Using the Spectra Manager™ Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) software version 2, spectra will be collected by accumulating 100 scans with a resolution of 4 cmˉ¹ and a total integration time of 2 min. A small portion from the sample will be transferred to the crystal plate, covered with a small piece of aluminum foil, and then pressed with a gripper to ensure the best possible contact with the crystal.
