Interval between phases

Visit inflorescence daily from the moment of opening. Note dates when last male flowers and first female flowers of the same inflorescence open. Record number of days betwen these dates as a positive number if last male flowers come first, as a negative number if first female flowers come first. Observe on 30 palms, calculate mean.
