toxoplasmosis (rabbit)

Definitions
Toxoplasmosis is widespread disease in nature caused by an internal parasite, Toxoplasma gondii. The rabbit is an intermediate host. Rabbits will be contaminated by contact with a contaminated cat or feed contaminated with cat faeces. The symptoms can be varied: inflammation of the muscles, paralysis, nervous disorders such as ataxia or swollen lymph nodes.
