coenurosis (rabbit)

Cenurosis is a rare internal parasitic infection of rabbits. The disease is caused by the Taenia serialis larva, known as Coenurus serialis. Rabbits are only infected if they have come into contact with an infected dog or fox. Symptoms depend on where the hydatid vesicle develops. However, a cyst may develop in the orbit, along with secondary infections.
